HIGHBRIDGE HILLS DISC GOLFERS.....YOU ARE AWESOME
Highbridge Hills disc golf, management and volunteers want to thank the more than 8,000 disc golfers who made the journey to Highbridge this past spring, summer and fall of 2011! You came from all 50 states and Canada , even from over the big pond to experience the best disc golf nature has to offer at our humble establishment. Many of you have said ..."the journey's end is the reward". We believe that to be true, we agree!
This past season I had the pleasure to meet more of you than in previous years. Many of you have made your "pilgrimage" to Highbridge, a yearly tradition. We were told there isn't a cold chance in H........ wewould succeed a few years ago. Thanks to the thousands of you who believe in us and have experienced what man and nature can do for the love of a sport and his fellow man.......we have a different story to tell.
For the year 2012, all I can say is that "you ain'tseen nothing yet!" The Bear opened up late this fall, all tee pads are in too. The front nine of Whitetail is in, tee pads and baskets. The back nine is roughed in, needs widening so we anticipate a full opening in mid to late spring. Our golf carts were a big hit to use on granite and gold ONLY!
NEW this year starting in January of 2012 is "snomo-discing. Either with vintage machines from the 60's and 70s,or with our new, special teal colored machines with skis on the front and tires on the back. Fairways will be groomed and packed all winter... Also in addition to disc golf this upcoming year, Highbridge Hills will have a sister company named Johnny's Silent Sports. Together we will host a total of 2 special events during each month that will coincide with the season. DON"T WORRY, it won't interfere with disc golf! It will however, provide a great opportunity for you, the disc golfer, to help out, volunteer and gain some FREE golf and camping....details to follow in a news flash upcoming story.
In addition our property is now becoming a training and competition center for fitness, health and adventure. We are joining numerous organizations to enable us to put on a good show and gain the respect of everyone involved. Our new events calendar will soon be available for our entire year of events. MUSIC will also become a main attraction. This past October we held our very first NEW AUTUMN EXPERIENCE DISC GOLF APPRECIATION FESTIVAL....12 bands from the cities were here to experience the Highbridge Stage....it was a smashing success! They want to return. I had the great pleasure to link up with a new and younger generation of good young people....you will be seeing more of them in the future. I thank you sincerely, once again! Smart stewardship and treating people as friends and with dignity - has been our foundation. Implementing a well thought out plan to be a sustainable partner for both mankind and nature has been a challenge and a vision come true. They say build it and they will come... we did... welcome!
